About Me

I am currently studying at European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics known as EMABG at University of Goettingen, Germany and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna . My study track is genomic selection and design breeding program for low-income countries.

Research Interest

These are area of research that interest me the most

Animal Breeding

One of the most exciting aspects of animal breeding is its ability to leverage genomic selection or genomic prediction to accelerate genetic gain and reduce generation interval. By using genomic information, animal breeders can predict the breeding value of young animals with high accuracy, which allows them to select the best animals for breeding at a much younger age. This reduces the generation interval and accelerates genetic gain, resulting in more productive and resilient animal breeds.

Plant Breeding

I am deeply interested in plant breeding and its relation to quantitative genetics and statistical genetics because I believe that it has the potential to revolutionize the way we develop new crop varieties. By using statistical models and other quantitative tools, plant breeders can identify the specific genes and genetic markers that are associated with desirable traits such as yield, disease resistance, and nutritional quality. This information can then be used to develop breeding programs that selectively breed individuals with these desirable traits, resulting in more productive and resilient crops.

Data Science

I am deeply interested in data science because of its potential to revolutionize the field of breeding and genetics. Data science provides the tools and techniques necessary to analyze vast amounts of biological data and extract meaningful insights. By leveraging machine learning algorithms and statistical models, data scientists can identify patterns and correlations that would be impossible to detect through traditional methods. This is particularly relevant in the field of breeding and genetics, where the goal is to identify and select the most desirable traits in plants and animals.

Research Experience

List of my research experience from my research in University and Company

Estimating Genetic Parameters for Resilience Traits in Dairy Cows

I am working to find the reliable estimate of heritability of resilience traits of dairy cows in extreme weather condition. This research also investigate good resilience indicator for dairy

Whole-Genome Sequencing Data Analysis of Honeybee

This project analyzed the VCF file from WGS to find the structural variants of the genome of honeybee such as InDel, SNP, Copy Tandem Repeat, and etc.

Developing Acacia Hybrid through MAS

Created control crosses from high fiber yield of Acacia auriculiformis x Acacia mangium breedin population and performed early selection using SCAR & SSR Marker and validated the hybrid performance through clonal field test.

Using Molecular DNA Fingerprint to Reduce Genetic Variation in Acacia Families

Genotyped all of the Acacia breeding population and progeny test using SSR Marker to determine the best-tested performance of the parental for using in orchad breeding population and progeny testing.

Wind Tolerant Study for Tree resistance of wind damage in Acacia crassicarpa

Established the protocol to test and study the tree resistance towards wind damage. Measured all of the phenotypic traits as well as micro climate in order to find the genetic correlation and phenotypic correlation among the traits.
